Today’s Waste, Tomorrow’s Energy
TENX Energy Africa Pty LTD is a Proud Level 1
B-BBEE South African Company . At TenX
Energy Africa Pty LTD, we’re on a mission to
redefine waste tyre management. By
transforming waste into useful products, we’re
not only solving the problem of tyre disposal
but also contributing to a circular economy. Our
proprietary processes harness cutting-edge
techniques to extract maximum value from
waste tyres, minimizing environmental impact.

At TenX Energy Africa, our innovative tire
recycling process extracts valuable resources:
Synthetic Fuel: Transforms tires into
alternative energy for power and
transportation.
Recovered Carbon Black: Produces high quality carbon black for manufacturing.
Activated Carbon: Creates sustainable
solutions for water and air purification.
Steel Wire Repurposing: Recycles steel wire
for construction and manufacturing.
Contributes to circular economy and
environmental sustainability.
Benefits Using TenX Energy Africa(Pty)Ltd Technology
Ultra Low Sulphur Fuel | Our innovative approach transforms waste tyres into high quality synthetic fuel. This not only provides a clean energy source but also reduces reliance on traditional fossil fuels, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly energy landscape. |
RECOVERED CARBON BLACK | Our forward-thinking methodology extends to the extraction of carbon black, The recovered carbon black (rCB) will be forwarded to a milling process for classification based on size. The milling process ensures that the average particle size meets the precise requirements outlined in the ASTM grade carbon black standards or the specifications necessary for the production of activated carbon |
ACTIVATED CARBON | rCB undergoes size classification and contaminants are removed by suspending in water and treating with acids. Purified carbon is filtered, washed, and then activated using steam injection to increase surface area. The activated carbon, meeting specific grades, is sold as powder or granules |
STEEL WIRE RECOVERY | Additionally, our innovative process ensures the steel wire extracted from tires is repurposed without damage, maintaining its integrity and cleanliness. This approach not only reduces the need for new steel but also promotes resource conservation. Committed to sustainable practices, we pave the way for a more environmentally responsible and resource-efficient future. |
Comparison between TenX Energy ULSD & Pyrolysis TDF

- Additional Value: Can further activate carbon black into high-grade activated carbon.
Product Recycling : Carbon Black & Activated Carbon

Recovered Carbon Black
- Derived from the pyrolysis of tires or rubber waste.
- Contains impurities and contaminants from tire additives.
- Limited porosity and surface area, reducing its adsorption capacity.
- Often used in low-value applications such as filler material in rubber products or coatings.
- May have limited effectiveness in adsorbing pollutants or contaminants.

TenX Energy Pyrolysis Technology
- Produced from TenX Energy Technology by chemical activation.
- High purity and controlled manufacturing process result in minimal contaminants.
- High porosity and large surface area, providing superior adsorption capacity for a wide range of substances.
- Widely used in water and air purification, gas adsorption, chemical processing, and medical applications.
